 Houghton's Bush Camp, Auckland
      
 

On the evening of 24th December 2002, a group of families from Auckland, Samoa, and Wellington, converged onto a camp site out in West Auckland called Houghton's Bush Camp. This would be home to four families, of the Martin Paul Schwalger clan over the next two days.
 

 The purpose of the camp:

to pay tribute to our oldest living member, Mrs Saipisa Vaita Schwalger, wife of the late Martin Paul Schwalger

Three of Martin Paul Schwalger's children and their families were present as were representatives of another daughter. They were: Dorothy Aspinall and 4 of her children, Carl Paul and Goretti Schwalger and three of their children, Wayne Robert and Rita Schwalger and a son, and three of Pauna's daughters and their families.

There were 58 adults and children who attended this pioneering and memorable ocassion and they are named below:

 Wayne Robert and Rita: and Lucas. NOTE: Two of Robert and Rita's sons, Clarence and Dwayne, who reside in Washington State, visited Mama in Auckland and attended a couple of our Re-union meetings. They returned home the week prior to the Re-union as they could not get time off to attend.

These 58 family members represented 3 generations of Schwalgers since Martin Paul. A list of family members who were not able to attend the Re-union for various reasons will be compiled and given at a later time.
   

The children made use of ALL recreational equipment.

Early birds enjoy the morning freshness of Houghton's Bush Camp.
